My name is Kurese Bell, I'm 26 years old. I've been drawing for as long as I've been in prison. I was 17 when I caught my case and at that time in my life, I struggled with gangs and drug addiction. I draw in pen because I like to embrace my mistakes. Being human we make mistakes, but our mistakes don't make us. I'm big on family and culture. I want to show how we can make it from struggle to strength with drawing. I feel there is no better way to do that then to remember where we come from.
